There is a need for much greater use of forensics in the local justice system.
That’s according to President of the Barbados Bar Association, Kaye Williams, who says forensic sciences has a major role to play in the law courts.
She was speaking at the 2025 Criminal Law Annual Conference, where it was announced that the Barbados Forensic Sciences Centre will be reopening by the first week in September.
And Ms. Williams says stakeholders also have to go much wider to understand where the country currently stands as it relates to criminal justice and criminal justice reform.
