Barbadians and visitors shopping at Massy Stores are now able to donate to the Make Change campaign.
Massy is starting the new fundraising initiative by the Tourism Development Corporation (TDC), designed to fund community and national development projects through small, micro-donations.
The programme asks shoppers at participating businesses to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, with extra change going to the Make Change Fund.
The campaign was officially launched at Massy Holetown, St. James.
TDC’s Executive Manager, Jacqueline Gill, says the funds raised through the initiative will support projects in areas like public safety, heritage, and environmental protection.
Massy Stores donated one thousand dollars to get the initiative started.
Massy’s Marketing Manager, Natalie McDowald, says the company is pleased to be a part of the initiative.
