New data presented by Government technicians is highlighting the severity of traffic congestion in Barbados.
Deputy Chief Technical Officer Jason Bowen says some of the island’s major roadways are now operating at extremely slow speeds.
He was speaking as residents in the north turned out in large numbers to share concerns and propose solutions during ongoing national traffic consultations hosted by the Ministry of Transport.
Mr Bowen says heat maps have revealed intense congestion at key junctions and notes that a range of solutions, including road widening, is being explored.
