A $20,000 lifeline has been provided for a project that is putting mothers and newborns at the heart of community health.
The money will provide scores of vulnerable mothers with breastfeeding bundles, tools and training designed to give babies the best possible start in life.
This new programme is an initiative of the Breastfeeding and Child Nutrition Foundation, and the funding has been donated by the Sandy Lane Charitable Trust.
Our Deanzer Roberts has this report about the launched initiative.
