Strict measures are in place to ensure criminals or other unwanted persons do not sneak into Barbados under the guise of the free movement of CARICOM nationals regime.
That initiative officially starts next Wednesday.
Minister of Home Affairs and Information, Wilfred Abrahams, is giving Barbadians the assurance that criminals with records will be flagged before they even get here.
He was addressing the Barbados Labour Party’s Christ Church East and South joint branch meeting on the weekend, where he said the free movement will not be a free-for-all regime.
Our Anesta Henry has that story.
