Political analyst Peter Wickham is not surprised that Ryan Brathwaite was nominated as the Barbados Labour Party candidate for St Joseph over the weekend.
In fact, Mr Wickham tells CBC News that Mr Brathwaite, who is a prominent event promoter, had no competition when it came to choosing someone to run in the constituency in the next general election, which current Member of Parliament Attorney General Dale Marshall will not be contesting.
And the political analyst says Mr Brathwaite inherits a strong policy and a good batting wicket.
