Over 70 roads have been repaired under Government’s Mill and Pave programme.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Works Santia Bradshaw says a number of smaller contractors have been introduced in an effort to assist with some of the smaller roads, while allowing the larger contractors to do the milling or paving.
She was speaking during a recent tour of the ongoing road works project in St. Michael, where repairs have been completed to 29 roads.
Ms. Bradshaw says officials are systematically going across the country and assessing, while prioritising the work that needs to be completed, in addition to addressing complaints and concerns of residents.
Some of those issues include flooding, sidewalks and access.
