Ownership in a community quiets violence.
The admonition came from Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados, Dr. Kevin Greenidge, as he addressed the Tyrese Caesar Foundation’s charity dinner at the Mahogany Ridge Restaurant last evening.
In a wide-ranging address, Dr. Greenidge urged Barbadians to take ownership and build an infrastructure for peace to thrive within their communities.
The finance official said when the people, communities, and policies are all pulling in the same direction, a harmonious state is created, thus sucking the oxygen from violence.
