Parish independence committees are playing a big role in We Gatherin’ as parishes gear up to host their leg.
It got underway on January 1, with an island-wide motorcade ending in St Lucy – the first parish to host its activities.
The We Gatherin’ 2025 event is an open invitation for Bajans around the world to reconnect with their roots and enjoy the vibrant traditions that make Barbados such a special place.
Coordinator of the We Gatherin’ 2025 Secretariat, Wayne Willock says already each committee has committed to being the best parish for We Gatherin’.
Mr. Willock was a guest on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
Director of the We Gatherin’ Secretariat, Senator John King meanwhile, is confident the events in each parish will engender community spirit.
