The Barbados Police Service has identified the man who lost his life in a shooting incident at Silver Sands Road at its junction with McCleans Gap, Christ Church, on Saturday.
He is 21-year-old Darin Simon Oneal Mapp, of St. Christopher, Christ Church.
Police say some people were reportedly liming at the junction when a vehicle drove up and multiple shots were fired. After the shooting, Mapp remained lifeless on the ground and another man was taken for medical attention in a private vehicle.
His death is homicide number 20 for 2024 and came hours after another shooting death early Saturday morning.
