Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the unnatural death of a 52-year-old man, whose body was discovered in the Careenage, Wharf Road, Bridgetown, St. Michael.
Preliminary investigations revealed that around 5:50 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, a passerby spotted a body floating in the water and alerted the authorities.
Upon arrival, police retrieved the lifeless body of a male from the water. A medical doctor was summoned to the scene, examined the body, and pronounced the man dead.
The deceased has been identified by a relative as Clethan Harewood of Pickwick Gap, St. Michael.
Police are appealing to anyone with information that may assist with the investigation to contact the Central Police Station at 430-7676 or 430-7630.
