Democratic Labour Party (DLP) candidate for St Philip South, Neil Marshall, is raising concerns about an alleged exodus of officers out of the Barbados police service.
The attorney-at-law says the Police Service has been gutted by the premature retirement of many constables and senior officers, as a result of frustration, political interference, and questionable promotion criteria.
Marshall declared police officers deserve better treatment and should be given their due, while speaking at Monday night’s DLP public meeting at Cemetery Lane, Road View, St Peter.
