Police investigations are ongoing into the island’s 30th homicide for 2024, which occurred in Sea Egg Avenue, Breedy Land, Christ Church last night.
The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Darian Ward of Silver Sands, also in Christ Church.
Police say around 9:21 they received a report via telephone that a man had been shot in his chest and was unresponsive.
Patrols responded to the scene of the incident.
Ward was transported to hospital by a private motorcar which was escorted by Police, but succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical treatment.
