Police, QEH experiencing issues with telephone service

June 8, 2024

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) is advising the public it is experiencing issues with its telephone landline service across all stations and the Operations Control Centre, including the 211 Emergency number.

It says many stations are not receiving any external calls nor can they call out.

TBPS says the matter has been reported to its service providers, who have their technicians working to identify and rectify the issues. The Police Service has apologised for any inconvenience caused.

Meanwhile, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital says that its Flow lines are currently not working at the Hospital and the Emergency Ambulance Service (EAS).

In the interim, members of the public are advised that they may contact the QEH using the following numbers – for the QEH PBX, 260-0036; for the Emergency Ambulance Dispatch, 836-3814; and if using a Digicel phone 536-3170.
