Power was restored to homes and businesses following outages in parts of the island yesterday.
The Barbados Light and Power Company Limited’s Communications Advisor, Cassandra Crawford, tells CBC News the outage was the result of a suspected lightning strike at a generating station.
She says this impacted 17% of the grid.
