Barbados’ housing policy has a critical role to play in the country’s fight against crime.
The link was made by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley while speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony for a housing development at Vineyard, St Philip.
Prime Minister Mottley said home ownership is important, particularly for young people.
She warned that a lack of access to housing can contribute to challenges such as intergenerational poverty and crime.
