Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley was the first to welcome Minister of Educational Transformation Chad Blackman to today’s sitting of the Lower House.
Ms. Mottley notes that Minister Blackman secured 84% of the vote in the recently concluded St. James North by-election.
Moreover, Prime Minister Mottley tells Minister Blackman that he comes to the Honourable Chamber with humility, grounded in seeing, hearing and feeling people, a quality she hopes he never loses.
She adds that she looks forward to him eclipsing the efforts of all those who have served before him in his role and transforming the education sector.
