The Princess Margaret Secondary School will remain closed till next Tuesday, June 10th.
This is to facilitate counselling and planning on the way forward at the school.
The decision was taken following an emergency meeting earlier yesterday.
It involved officials from the Ministry of Educational Transformation and teaching and non-teaching staff, at the Six Roads, St. Philip institution.
This followed media reports Wednesday of violence towards teachers, and a two-page letter which was sent to education officials and the Barbados Union of Teachers.
Chief Education Officer Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw says the Ministry remains dedicated to working closely with all stakeholders to ensure a supportive and effective learning environment for students and staff alike.
