The Sanitation Service Authority is once again appealing to the public to refrain from disposing of animal faeces in residential garbage cans.
According to Public Relations Officer Carl “Alff” Padmore earlier today, workers were forced to return to the SSA’s Wildey Depot after collecting bags at a residence in Pine Gardens, St. Michael, which contained the waste.
He says workers had to dispose of pieces of their uniform and gloves and clean out one of the new compactor trucks.
Mr. Padmore emphasises they will not blacklist any person after such incident, but says they will be rolling out a public campaign to sensitise the public on proper disposal of such waste.
