The Queen Elizabeth Hospital is taking a major step forward in patient care.
Soon, doctors and nurses will no longer have to depend on handwritten notes, as the hospital prepares to roll out a fully electronic medical records system.
Currently, handwritten notes form the backbone of patient files.
Executive Director of Clinical and Diagnostic Services Dr. The Most Honourable Corey Forde revealed on the Pulse Radio Show that soon, all of that will change.
The system means patient details will be instantly available to healthcare teams, cutting delays, preventing lost information.
