Regulations are coming to govern weights and measurers equipment in Barbados.
Director of the Barbados National Standards Institution Haydn Rhynd told the Business Report preparation of the documents is at an advanced stage.
He was responding to recent comments about irregularities with regard to weights given by fish vendors.
The BNSI official said all trading sectors will be covered under the legislation including maintenance and the doors of the BNSI are open to vendors as individuals or as an organisation to offer input for the legislation.
