Barbados has created a road map focused on the relationship between climate change and the health sector.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr. The Most Honourable Kenneth George, says the country is currently validating its National Adaptation Plan for Climate Change.
He shared the update yesterday during a media conference at the Office of the Pan American Health Organisation.
Dr. George also noted that the road map opens up possibilities for further financing in health care.
Barbados now joins Grenada and St. Lucia, who have already completed their Health National Adaptation Plans (H-NAPs).
