Safety on the nation’s roads is of paramount importance.
And Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Works Santia Bradshaw is urging motorists to exercise more caution while traversing the roadways.
She was speaking during a sitting of Parliament, where a resolution was tabled to acquire seven parcels of land at the Windsor/Brighton, St. George junction to construct a roundabout.
The project is estimated to cost five million dollars.
While supporting the construction of a roundabout at the Windsor junction, Senior Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Dr. William Duguid says he believes traffic lights are generally a better solution than roundabouts.
As an example, he pointed out the junction at Culloden Road, St. Michael, where traffic lights were substituted for a roundabout.
