Sargassum seaweed harvester put to the test

The sargassum seaweed harvester was put to the proverbial test and passed with flying colours on Saturday.

This, as members of the Ministry of Environment and National Beautification and the Green and Blue Economy, tackled the abundance of sargassum seaweed blanketing the sea at Conset Bay, St John.

Minister Adrian Forde gave kudos to his predecessor, Minister Kirk Humphrey and his team for having the foresight to invest in this important piece of equipment.

He says having practical solutions to combat the vagaries of climate change requires vision, foresight, and commitment, and he is glad to be associated with a government that has embraced these tenets unequivocally.
