The Bridgetown Fisheries Division has sent out an SOS to fishermen of Barbados to help find one of their own.
The call from Chief Fisheries Officer Dr Shelly-Ann Cox. In a message disseminated to the island’s fisherfolk, Dr Cox says they received a report that the fishing vessel “Boy Blue I” capsized on Sunday evening off the harbour wall. One fisherman has since been rescued, while another is still missing.
She has asked them all to assist with the search on Tuesday. Dr Cox urges those who can aid in the search to contact Dock Master McAndrew Ottley of their willingness to do so.
