A day after the debate in Parliament, an accident occurred at the very four-cross junction in Windsor, where plans are underway to construct a roundabout.
Government has proposed acquiring seven parcels of land at the Windsor/Brighton junction in St. George for the construction of a roundabout, with the project estimated to cost five million dollars.
The incident happened this evening and marks the second accident at that location in less than a week.
CBC News understands that a van and a car, travelling in opposite directions, collided, causing the car to overturn.
Traffic slowed to a crawl along Windsor Road as a result.
This follows a similar accident at the same junction last Friday.
