Senator Chad Blackman is looking to establish a co-operative for those in the St. James North constituency who are engaged in agriculture and farming.
He says this forms part of the BLP’s commitment to food security.
Further, Senator Blackman, who is also Minister of Educational Transformation, says in order for Barbados to remain competitive now and in the future, officials must ensure that young people can create new modes of technology, while knowing how it works.
He was commenting following the launch of a coding, robotics, and artificial intelligence workshop in the constituency yesterday.
Senator Blackman says this will allow students to understand how to use technology daily to build out the country competitively in the region and internationally.
