Two shooting incidents today left one man dead and sent another to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The first incident occurred at 8th Avenue Ivy, St Michael near Blenheim Playing Field, where a young man was shot multiple times and died at the scene.
Police Communications and Public Affairs Officer, Inspector Ryan Brathwaite, says the police operations control room received the report about the shooting in The Ivy around 4:20 p.m.
Member of Parliament for the area, Trevor Prescod, says he knows the family of the deceased and is describing the brutal killing as senseless.
The second shooting incident took place at Grazettes, St Michael which resulted in one man being transported for medical attention.
