The Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology is reporting a significant increase in the number of applicants for this academic year.
This shows there’s growing interest in technical and vocational training.
However, many are denied entry due to limited resources.
The issue was highlighted at the Institute’s orientation sessions for new students.
