Smaller credit unions on the island are merging as they seek to expand their services and enhance financial resilience.
And according to the General Manager of the Barbados Cooperative Credit Union League, Tracia Pounder, there is a possibility of future credit union consolidation.
She spoke about the development at the launch of the 2024 Financial Stability Report.
Ms. Pounder adds the League is pooling its resources behind guiding and providing educational and technical assistance for credit unions.
