Students of St. Bartholomew Primary are aware that they can pursue peace instead of violence.
They made this clear while participating in a walk for peace through the communities within the school’s district.
The students, accompanied by teachers and other adults, carried placards bearing messages calling for an end to violence and for guns to be removed from the streets.
Principal Anthea Gill says the walk was timely, given the high incidence of gun violence taking place in society.
Principal Gill also noted that all the students participated, even the youngest.
