
A St. Michael man has been remanded to prison, after appearing in court in connection with a number of charges, including a 2022 murder.
He is 32-year-old Rachad Rudolf Hoyte of Barkers Road, Haggatt Hall.
He was arrested and formally charged by the Barbados Police Service (TBPS) Criminal Investigations Department (District ‘A’) for the following offences:
Murder of Odwin Grannum – November 9, 2022.
Possession with Intent to Supply – February 22, 2025.
Possession of Cannabis – February 25, 2025.
Trafficable Quantity of Cannabis – February 22, 2025.
Unlawful Retention of Foreign Currency – $85,505.00 US, equivalent to $169,299.00 BDS.
Hoyte appeared before Magistrate Manilla Renee in the District ‘A’ Magistrate Court yesterday. He has been remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds) until Monday, March 31, 2025.
