There is a call for Barbadians to support the activities scheduled for this month in St Philip as part of that parish’s We Gatherin’ 2025 celebrations.
Director of the We Gatherin’ 2025 secretariat, Senator John King, says the parish organising committee has been working around the clock to plan exciting events that will showcase the best of St Philip.
He was addressing this morning’s St Philip We Gatherin’ Church Service to officially kick off the activities.
Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for St Philip North, Dr Sonia Browne, raised concerns about the communities quickly losing their shared values, pointing to rising crime as one of the reasons. She is hoping We Gatherin’ will help to foster a return of the community spirit.
And Member of Parliament for St Philip South and Minister of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security, Indar Weir, is asking for peace to reign at activities.
