The St. Thomas Parish Independence Committee is giving back to seniors.
This forms part of their parish project for the year, centred on the theme Community Builders, Pillars of Strength, Pillars of Progress.
Thirty seniors were the recipients of care packages as part of the committee’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
Chairperson of the St. Thomas Parish Independence Committee, Petra Ramsey-Rollock, explained that the initiative is part of a mandate from the Community Independence Secretariat to conduct a project under the theme Honouring the Past, Inspiring the Present.
Member of Parliament for St. Thomas, Cynthia Forde, says it is a joy to work with a team that devotes its time and energy to ensuring young people receive the guidance needed to become the best citizens Barbados could ever have.
