As part of the island’s Crop Over 50th anniversary celebrations, the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. has invited a number of influencers and media from overseas territories.
And Minister of Tourism and International Transport Ian Gooding-Edgehill says the annual sweetest summer festival attracts thousands of visitors annually, serving as an economic stimulus for the tourism sector during the summer period.
He was speaking during a welcome reception for influencers and visiting media at the Hilton Barbados Resort.
Visiting media and influencers hail from the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Latin America, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Jamaica, and guests from Ghana and Nigeria.
BTMI’s Chief Executive Officer Andrea Franklin says their presence is a reflection of BTMI’s extensive global marketing public relations strategy to strengthen Barbados’ presence in key source markets and emerging ones.
