There’s support for new legislation which makes it harder for people who commit murder and firearm offences to get bail.
Former magistrate Faith Marshall-Harris says the amendment to the Bail Act is one solution to curbing the spate of gun violence on the island.
Ms. Marshall-Harris says speedier trials to prevent people from being out on bail or on remand for extended periods is another solution to maintaining law and order in Barbados.
