The organisers of a teen-centred fete have distanced themselves from violent incidents, widely circulated on social media via viral video, which they say occurred outside the Kensington Oval venue.
The fete “Teen Mas” attracted hundreds of young people but incidents occurring on the outside of the venue led to a decision to shut it down well before its originally scheduled midnight end.
That announcement apparently did not go down well with many who had purchased tickets and gathered on the outside to enter.
When CBC News reached out to the organisers they indicated that everything inside the venue had actually been going very well up until that point.
