Two Barbadians are among the five recipients of this year’s Anthony N. Sabga Awards for Caribbean Excellence.
Visual artist Sheena Rose and social activist Shamelle Rice were recognised for their ongoing work that uplifts the entire Caribbean region.
They will each receive the local currency equivalent of half a million TT dollars at a ceremony later this year.
The announcement was made yesterday evening.
