The Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy wing of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) is set for major refurbishment work, starting next October.
Founder of the Maria Holder Memorial Trust, Christopher Holder, SCM, FMC, says the trust will be funding the construction work which when completed will improve the efficiency of the unit.
He made the announcement during the handing over ceremony of two ambulances donated by the trust to the Barbados Ambulance Service.
The state-of-the-art ambulances were brought in by NASCO Limited.
NASCO’s Managing Director Roger Hill says the company has established the services of Bushy Park Driving Academy to provide an instructor to train ambulance drivers.
