The Barbados Police Service has provided an update following a suspected gas leak in the area of the Golden Square Freedom Park in Bridgetown.
They are reporting that “preliminary investigations suggest that there is no threat to public safety at this time.”
Sergeant Liesl Gabriel further notes that local access for businesses located on River Road and Upper Fairchild Street will be allowed access. However, access and exit will only be granted from River Road and John Beckles Drive.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
