The Barbados Police Service provided an update on the fatal collision which occurred along Cottage Road, St. George around 9:15 this morning.
Communications and Public Affairs Officer with the Barbados Police Service, Inspector Rodney Inniss, said it involved a flatbed truck and a motorcar. The drivers were the only occupants of both vehicles which were travelling along the road in opposing directions, when “they, for some reason still under investigation, collided head-on causing significant damage to both vehicles.
“The driver of the motor car was pronounced dead at the scene. His body had to be extricated by personnel from the Barbados Fire Service.
“The driver of the truck complained of injuries to both legs and his left wrist. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance for medical attention.”
Police investigations are ongoing.
