Vacation rental operators are expressing their gratitude to the Minister of Tourism and, by extension the Government for agreeing to pause the Tourist Accommodation Bill 2025.
The group extends its sincere thanks to the Minister and to everyone who has supported its cause.
It says lawmaking should always be an inclusive process, and it welcomes the opportunity while standing ready to meet with the Minister at the earliest occasion.
However, it says at the same time, it must emphasise that although it appreciates the pause, the need for substantive changes to the legislation remains.
The group also wants to make it extremely clear that it is an apolitical coalition of concerned stakeholders outlining its concerns and sharing insights into the industry.
