There was cultural integration on show in the St. James South constituency, as the Venezuelan Embassy and Member of Parliament Sandra Husbands recently hosted a Salsa Night for constituents.
The Venezuelans had previously built a number of houses in the constituency.
Against this backdrop, the Venezuelan Embassy partnered with the constituency to organise the Salsa Fiesta.
Speaking at the event in Husbands Gardens, Chargé d’Affaires of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Barbados, Martha Ortega, said it is an annual event, and they are happy to be involved with the community.
