There has been a report about some issues at the Veterinary Services Laboratory.
According to Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Mark Trotman, structural and environmental challenges have disrupted operations there.
He says an engineer has been contracted to refurbish the existing building, so the lab can continue to provide its full suite of tests, that approve food products for export.
Dr. Trotman has also provided insight into plans to expand the types of testing at the laboratory.
