
Police at the Hastings/Worthing Station are conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding the suspected drowning of a 57-year-old male visitor, whose unresponsive body was discovered around 1:45 p.m yesterday at Brownes Beach, Bay Street, St. Michael.
Police say the deceased arrived on the Norwegian Viva cruise ship yesterday morning, and visited Brownes Beach where he was swimming with the turtles.
He got into difficulty and was pulled from the water. Ambulance personnel were summoned and found no signs of life, and a doctor subsequently pronounced death at the scene.
