Director of the We Gatherin’ 2025 Secretariat Senator John King says the first episode of the year-long initiative has been a resounding success.
He says from as early as 10:00 a.m. on Errol Barrow Day, crowds began descending on Archers Bay, St. Lucy for the Family Day and Picnic.
While he acknowledges there will be some teething issues initially, he says that is par for the course.
Donald Waldron, who is in from Montreal, Canada for a family gathering, says they used We Gatherin’ 2025 as the climax to the event.
He originally hails from Hothersal Turning, and it’s possible he will return for We Gatherin’ in St. George.
