The We Gatherin’ series is celebrating culture and community in St. Andrew this month.
A Thanksgiving service at the St. Andrew Parish Church yesterday officially marked the start of parish activities.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office with responsibility for Culture, Senator Dr. Shantal Munro-Knight, says the We Gathering initiative is about telling the stories of Barbados’ parishes and strengthening the community.
She also spoke of a new aspect of the initiative that will soon be launched.
MP for St. Andrew, Dr. Romel Springer, also highlighted the significance of the activities.
He said the theme chosen will tell of a parish that has a rich heritage and untapped stories.
