Political scientist Peter Wickham has called the 2025 Budget presentation impressive.
He says having Minister in the Ministry of Finance Ryan Straughn do the presentation dispels the notion that the Government is a one person show.
In terms of the economic initiatives, the political scientist gave this analysis.
Mr. Wickham also lauded the move of Graydon Sealy School to the premises previously occupied by the Ursuline Convent, noting it provided the opportunity for some social engineering.
Regarding the Salt Tax, he commended using taxation to drive social change.
He also supports the systematic increase of minimum wage and rebate to St. Lucy and St. Peter residents affected by discoloured water.
