Migration is good for the economy.
That is the belief of political analyst Peter Wickham.
He says data suggest the benefits of people migrating to countries like Barbados are significant.
With the freedom of movement for nationals of four CARICOM countries, including Barbados, Belize, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Dominica, starting today, Mr. Wickham says people coming to the island will more than likely be coming to work.
Mr. Wickham is not of the opinion that there is going to be an influx of CARICOM nationals coming to Barbados because of the new arrangement.
