A call has been made for more recognition to be given to the Barbados Prison Service (BPS).
It has come from acting Superintendent of Prisons Decarlo Payne.
He was addressing the anniversary and staff appreciation church service at the Breath of Life, Seventh Day Adventist Church, White Hall, St. Michael on Sunday.
The acting prison chief said the BPS is made up of several elements and is an integral part of the landscape of Barbados.
